Ashok Sinha, “Gas and Glamour” Hardcover Book, available signed ($55USD) and unsigned ($45)
“I love cars and I love Los Angeles because it's a city of cars. For about ten years I've been fascinated by L.A.'s love story with the automobile, which dates back to a time when cars were still beauties. Those wagons have disappeared from the streets, but the buildings from that era are still standing. As an architectural photographer, I wanted to capture the optimism and ambitions of the city's special auto culture, which is still reflected today in the multicolored, star-studded coffee shops, gas stations and car washes that used to magically attract the glances of passing motorists.
